I changed my tires for my Chevy Equinox 2005 and wanted to align it. When tried to align the rear wheels I was told that it COULDN'T be done because I needed an eccentric bolt in order to align the rear toe. WHERE do I find an eccentric for my Chevy Equinox 2005 ??

At 190,000 miles, my Equinox was out of alignment in the rear and needed 1 degree of adjustment on one side. I found the correct eccentric nut on Amazon with part and shipping half off the garages total price.
It is; Moog K100015 Caster/Camber Adjusting Kit.
I realize that this answer is to an old question but hopefully it helps others looking for the same answer.

How do i check allowable movement in rear drive shaft differential on a 2005 chevy equinox

There is no "cheking"to be done other than what you have done already. The movement,ANY movement, only means the universal joint is shot and needs replaced.I'm sure you've noticed a steady vibration. It's coming from bad U-joint.Replace it.

2005 RAV4 rear tire uneven wear

You need to have a four wheel alignment done. Keep in mind once the tires start to wear like you have they will continue to wear that way even after the align is done.

We purchased a 2005 Hyundai Tucson recently. It pulls to the right. We took it in for an alignment and the mechanic said he couldn't do it because the rear end was out of alignment and it had to be...

I don't understand why the mechanic told you the alignment had to be done by the dealer (he either noted damage or just didn't know how to do it). Here's a photo of the adjustment bars on the 2005 Tucson. The mechanic simply needs two 22mm wrenches to make the adjustments.

COULD HAVE LOW AND HIGH SPOTS IN THE BRAKE ROTORS.CHECK TIRES FOR DEFECTS.COULD NEED FRONT END ALIGNMENT OR BAD WHEEL BEARINGS CAUSE WHEELS VIBRATION.

The driver side tire inside tread is wearing, only tire that is wearing this way. what should i be checking for?

It most likely needs a ball joint or tie rod end, have an alignment done,if there is a bad part they will find it.

2005 Equinox: 2005 chevy equinox vibration at low speeds...

A low speed vibration is likely caused by a tire. Check to see if any rims are bent. Have the tires checked and replaced as necessary. If the tires are worn unevenly have an alignment done. If this is an AWD model check the driveshaft and support bearing.
