Can anyone tell me if there is a fuse behind the radio of a 1995 Jaguar XJ6? The radio has not worked for a long time and was wondering if it may be a fuse and would like to check. Problem is that it is tricky to remove and do not want to do it unless I know there is a fuse there. Cheers, Jaimie.

Fuses are in the engine compartment (label under plastic lid in engine compartment identifies fuses), by the battery in the boot (trunk), behind both rear seat foot-well heel boards. The fuse for the radio is labeled ICE (In Car Entertainment). Try inserting a cassette tape, if that works, it will confirm power to the radio.
There is a very common fault with theses (Alpine) stereos, where the controls don't work. Try giving a firm push on the eject button, then push the volume knob to turn it on. The firm push on the eject button often gives a temporary fix.

Fuses are all located either under the bonnet or in the boot. Check the fuse map and then check all fuses that could be linked to the radio. Including 'ice head unit' fuses.

Where is the gas filter on a 1995 Jaguar xj6

The gas filter on the XJ6 I had was located behind the spare wheel in the trunk. I thought that was a place one would never think of looking! Not sure if that is where they are on a 1995 as the 95' 96' 97' models were a change from earlier and later models.

Need to know location of the fuse for power antena for 95 jagur xj6

There is not a particular fuse for the radio that I have found. It seems that the Jaguar radio is specifically set to power the antenna. The installer should tell you what they did with the wire. If you told them the antenna was broken, or if they couldn't get it working, my bet is that they left the yellow, or blue antenna wire unhooked during installation. If you have a good antenna, and you have confirmed it, then the antenna should work when the radio is activated. That is the only solution other than the radio having an malfunction. You can check the 10 amp fuse on the back of the radio, but my bet is the antenna wire.

Thanks.

2002 xjr 100 radio will not power after battery change

If the battery went dead and you charged it, you need to reboot the system. It has lost them function of radio.
Disconnect both side of the battery and with the battery disconnected, crank the car 3-4 times (This just discharges the computers). Then reconnect the battery cables (pos + first) and you should have a working radio again.
