On my 02 ford pu, if you have the digital odometer, I hold the odometer/reset button down while starting engine, it goes thru test and gives error codes. Disconnecting negative battery cable for a minute, then reconnecting, will turn off the light if there are no issues.
you can go to Autozone or Advance or any good parts store and they be able to pull the code for you if all fails you can stop by your local Ford dealership in the service department and ask for the service manger and he or she will check it for you give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
