Check and see if you have tail lights. Some models, the dash lights will go out to get your attention when your tail lights are not working. Check your fuses with a test light or volt meter.

Sounds like you have some confusion going on here.
The dash lights and tail lights have always been on different circuits and fuses. So if one set of lights fail, the other stays on unless the headlight switch blows up.
The fuse marked "instruments" is for the speedo and gas gauge, not the lights.
On your car there is an instrument panel module and a dash integraded module which both involve the dash lights.
You may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams and test procedures for this circuit.
Another thing - after 1998 most cars and trucks switched from having the headlight switch provide power to having them provide the ground connection.
Your electrical problem sound like there is a bad body ground or your ecm is going bad, as far as the other issue the 4.3's in the chevy blazer are notorious for the EGR valve going bad my stepson had a 94 blazer that had the same engine problem and it was the EGR valve and they are not cheap i think his was over $160.
A/C MOTOR: YOU CAN BUY THE MOTOR WITH THE SAME BASE BUT YOU WILL NOTE IT SPIN IN THE OPPOSITE SIDE AND THE TURBINE HAS THE ORIENTATION INVERTED. sOO, CONNECT IT INVERSALLY POLARIZED AND USE THE ORIGINAL TURBINE OF YOUR BAD MOTOR
there are two reasonable explanations for this: vehicle speed sensor is faulty and speedo cable is faulty and bulbs for illumination or illumination switch is faulty but I would lean with all of those its your gauge cluster or gauge cluster itself has gone out both of these arent that expensive heres some places where you can get cheap replacements www.ebay.com www.godspeedmotorsportsonline.com peach street auto 18003652341
is the digits on the dash like 1.0 or is there no digits if there is no digits you need to send your speedo dash to speedo fixer it cost me £150.00 my clock and temp digits went off and had it repaired by this company can highly recommed them
The Turn signal relay on a 94 s10 blazer is located under the cluster area right behind the panel that holds the parking brake release handle you will see it once a couple of trim panels get remove it will be to the right side of the brake release handle
