On almost all cars they prefer you to change the oil at 5000 to 7000 km.

Have a 2007 mitsubishi eclipse has been sitting for A YEAR while overseas in kuwaitt. come back and service engine light soon is on. thought it might have needed an oil change, got an oil change

Take the vehicle to an auto parts store for a free diagnosis of the engine light code and report back here before doing "anything" or buying "anything" so we can save you money by diagnosing the problem.

How do you change the km/h to mph on a 2006 Mitsubishi eclipse

Not your question, but you might like to have this:

Supposedly the owners manual (perhaps you have it) tells you how to change the speedometer.. it involves turning the car off and holding a button on the dash in and turning the ignition on and continue holding the button for > 5 seconds

1999 mitsubishi eclipse shows no oil pressure when idleing but is normal when accelerating is this normal

An oil service may help if its been awhile.

Lack of oil services could of worn out the bearings that create the oil pressure.

this link is to the first part of the service manual. once you download it, the information you need is on page 47 and 48.

The manual is the mitsubishi eclipse manual, but, incase you didn't know, they are basically the same car. the eclipse is just the hatchback version of the stratus.

if you look at the sticker on the firewall of the engine bay, there is a mitsubishi sticker.
