Camshaft position sensor. It should be on the front of the engine just ahead of the valve cover. You will see the connector for it there.

2003 Chevy Venture LS. A friend welded new cam sensor wires BRY connecting R-R, B-B, and Y-G. Then I got a P0341 cam code. How should the wire colors connect according to the wiring diagram?

Question edited for clarity and spelling 'peddle' vs 'pedal'.
Question move to model category.

Presumably you mean 'soldering' as opposed to 'welding'.

What Does the P0341 Code Mean? Diagnostic trouble code P0341 stands for "Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)." It is triggered when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a problem with the signal being sent by the camshaft position sensor.

Can someone please explain Difference between codes P0341 and P0342 please?

The codes signify issue with the same component.

P0341 What the P0341 code means. P0341 is an OBD-II generic code that says the engine control module (ECM) detected the engine camshaft position sensor circuit is not within specifications. The sensor pulses do not correlate to the pulses of the crankshaft sensor.

HI ghosthunter6 codes P0131&P0137&P0341 indicative of having electrical short .
P0131 Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted .
P0137 Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted .
P0341 Camshaft position sensor harness or connectors (The sensor circuit is open or shorted) .
code B1218 horn relay coil circuit short to voltage battery .
IT could be cousin problem with other sensors .
First replace horn relay and clear E C M codes
IF problem and codes P0131&P0137 come back you need o2 sensors .put I don't thank so.
YOU MUST REPLACE HORN RELAY .OK

2 codes show up on the reader.

The P0341 code is a code indicating that the cam position sensor circuit is out of range or not performing properly. The P0404 code indicates the EGR is out of range or not performing properly.

Those codes seem rather odd to have together. If the cam sensor was bad I would expect some driveability issues or possibly even issues with getting the vehicle started. The EGR could cause some idle issues.

I just cant get past that those codes seem so unrelated, they are for two different systems. If you are not experiencing any driveablity issues, I would clear the codes with either a scan tool or just disconnect the battery for a few minutes. If they come back then yes, I would have it looked at. You could try replacing the Cam position sensor, and see if that helps, but the EGR is a bit more challenging and would be a more costly item to replace.

Hope this helps out.
