My cigarette lighter and radio kicked out when I was using a small compressor to fill my tires. Is there a fuse box in the van? I found one in the engine area but it does not show me a cigarette lighter or radio replacement spot.

There should be a fuse panel inside the vehicle which controls this. Check your owners manual for exact location.
Usually the cig lighter and other accessories are on one circuit.
Good Luck

06 Malibu Manx. Using a small tire compressor and my cigarette lighter fuse keeps going out. Suggestions

Do not use something in a cigarette lighter
that doesn't belong there

You have an OBD 2 Vehicle (1996 thru 2015)

Obviously-- if a fuse blows --it does so for a reason

It's not rocket science, that the compressor draws
too many amps, to be used in your car & you will
ruin the car some day using the lighter

2000 Nissan Frontier Cigarette lighter not working while I use tire compresser using,

Tire compressor probably draws too much current for the socket. Are you sure it is a cigarette lighter socket? Some sockets are just to provide accessories 12v. Did a cigarette lighter come with this socket? True cigarette lighter sockets are generally fused at 25 or 30 Amps

The cigarette lighter on my 1995 Toyota Corolla does not work. The radio works fine. The problem started after I used an air compressor to inflate my tires. The air compressor attaches to the cigar

On the back side of the lighter there is a fusable link between the incoming power wire and the metal tab that connects power to the lighter. This is a very small wire, bent 90 degrees, between two tabs that are mounted on the same small screw. It looks like the incoming power tab and the power to the lighter would be connected, but they are insulated from each other on the screw. If the fusable link is blown, you will have power at the power connector on the back of the lighter, but no power to the center terminal inside the lighter.

My power plug outlet and radio kicked out when I was using a small compressor to fill my tires. Is there a fuse box in the van? I found one in the engine area but nothing inside.

There is probably a fuse panel under the dash above your left foot or knee... also on some GM and foreign cars the fuse panel is in the side of the dash where the door opens. Look for an access panel.
Ford trucks have it behind the panel where your knees are located.
It would help if you said what kind of car and what year.
And yes... the cig lighter and radio memory clock, and the interior lights are ususally on the same circuit in most cars but this varies by manufacturer.

No radio and cigarette lighter on my 1999 acura tl

Fuse box is on drivers side kick panel under dash.

It blends in very well due to being carpeted.

Digital clock and cigarette lighter

There are three (3) fuses involved here. The one that is most likely the culprit is the 15A one in the fuse box under the hood, near the battery. Check the underhood fuse box, replace any blown fuses.

The other two fuses (also 15A) are in the interior fuse box, probably left side kick panel.
