My Kia has been great 103,000 miles on it recently I have been hearing a grinding sound when I accelerate. When I turn the car off it stops and drives fine for awhile.

You have solved your own problem. But factory u-joints do not have grease fittings remove drive shaft and check for free movement of joints in every direction .

Starter clicking, not enough power to turn motor over. Check the battery, make sure charge is full. If it is, your starter is shot, replace it

this model has a brake shield that may rub during a hard turn. i would also check the rotor bearings as well. check the fender wall for lose plastic wheel cover as well.
