take headlights out and separate glass from plastic by releasing clips. when re-installing use silicone inbetween glass and plastic to stop leaks

From the engine compartment, unlock the 3 tabs that are over the headlight housing area. Remove the cover and unscrew the plastic ring that has the wires protruding from it. Carefully pulls the light fixture out of the housing. Pull the 2 L-shaped tabs up and remove the lens section. Reverse the steps to re-install the headlight. If replacing the full turn signal housing, unscrew 2 screws from each light , disconnect bulb wiring and remove. Replace accordingly.

The entire headlamp housing assembly sits inside of a mounting bracket - this means it is very easy to fully release, and remove the headlamp to make bulb replacement much less *painful*!

There are 2 headlight retainer clips to find - they are:

1. black, upside-down L-shaped metal clips about 1/2 inch wide
2. located just behind the top edge of the headlamp glass, inside the engine compartment. (Do not confuse these with the two small lens clips)

Release by pulling the top towards you while pulling the clips upward. The headlamp assembly will now pull forward providing great access to the electrical connector and bulb retainer ring.

Upside down L shaped bracket that is bolted to frame just behind headlight assy. Unbolt bracket, lift bracket straight up to unlock headlight assy. Headlight assy should easlier fall forward to replace any of the 3 bulbs

Get those at a dealer. They have those.

yes. it should be a fairly easy job, just be careful when removing the glass, and make sure you get your headlight re-alligned when it is done, as it will fail its mot if not done.

hi bill, I think the problem might be the glass cover for the headlights. I checked, and the 87-91 olds delta 88 have a replacement bulb, not a sealed beam headlight. I assume the glass cover (lens) of the headlights were broken due to the minor accident. The headlight lens, or glass, might be found in an auto salvage yard. You might find new ones at a dealership, but they would be very hard to find for a 91, as they don't make them anymore, due to the cars age (no demand to make manufacturing them worthwhile). So check the junk yard, it's your best bet. Good luck, Curt
