The tapping is the valves hitting against the buyer upper part of engine. The stalling is most likely the computer shutting down engine. You might have engine damage. The tapping comes and goes according to engine rpm the higher the rpm the louder the tapping. If I was have it towed to u mechanic and have them run test engine might be beyond repair
Most engines now use hydraulic lifters and they can leak a little, this causes space between then lifter and the push rod. This results in a tapping noise that goes away when they get warm or fill back up.

One of my vehicles started making a rather disturbing sound so I went to investigate and to hopefully fix it.
Its possible the oil pump is going bad, but I doubt it would make the noise you describe. Usually a tapping noise is a valve lifter or a piston connecting rod. And low oil pressure could cause either, as well as dirt blocking one of the oil passages in the engine block.

That noise is most likely cam follower noise ( formally know as lifters), this is common but no normal, it should disappear after a few seconds when the engine is started, talk to the dealer about the noise, he may be able to help even if you are out of warranty.
