My '92 Trooper just started shut off and won't start. i had to clutch start it. It crank vigorously but wont Start . A few wks ago. I stated it and shut it off as I had to do something before I go and it wouldn't start. Couple hours after It started as if it's ok. Then it did the same thing at a Gas Station. I replace the fuel filter and yesterday it just die at a stop light where I had to clutch start it in reverse and couple hours after it started ok. Can anyone help?
If you had read all that i said you would understand that I said that the motor crank very vigorously just going and going but don't start. If I let it sit maybe for half an hour it would just start as if nothing was wrong.I am reluctant to drive it. If it won't crank, check clutch safety switch and cables for the starter. If it cranks but won't start, you'll need to find out if it is ignition or fuel to know where to look next.
Does it crank?If you shut it off and you restart after a few minutes and it cranks but won't start or starts and runs rough the injectors are leaking and flooding the engine. Need better description
if the car crankes and wont start there are a few things you need to have for it to run. spark fuel and timing. check for spark at plugs. check for fuel preasure and injector pulse. if these are o/k then check engine timing. if everything is o/k then you probably have a major vacume leak.
