I have a VW Golf 2000, and since Friday, there has been a round circle with three broken lines on each side. What does it mean, and what should I do about it?

that is the warning for either low brake fluid level, or low brake disks.
check the fluid level in the reservoir and top up as needed. if the fluid level is okay, then you will need to check the thickness of the material on the brake pads. if you are not sure how to do these checks, then I would recommend getting a mechanic to check it for you. most garages will do a free brake check if you ask them.

A ROUND YELLOW CIRCLE LIGHT WITH LINES ON EACH SIDE MEANS BRAKE PROBLEMS FRONT BRAKES OR REAR BRAKES HAS A FAULT. NOW IF CIRCLE HAS LINES INSIDE YOUR POWER STEERING FLUID LOW NEED CHECKING.THE WARNING LIGHT WILL TURN OFF WHEN PROBLEM FIX.

This is a brake problem.First check the level of a brake fluid.If low -check brake pads/front and rear as well/.If it is nessecary- change them.

it sounds like the esp/asr warning lamp indicating a fault with the stability system. Is your abs lamp on too?

Well, get the codes read, and, why do you not think it's the ABS? Have you had work done there recently?

Dean, you mean the trunk lid ? Is that not normal with a key and push button on the lid ?Get a owners manual for sure.

if it a circle with three dashes on both sides thats the brake wear sensor and means you should change brakes soon

try checking the fluid levels ,brake fluid, power steering washer bottle??

Check the fuel tank, in the boot there should be a round black cover on the floor to remove and pump is there.
