Ford winstar 99; spedometer is just showing lines;

Put key in ignition but not turned on.
Keep brake pedal depressed and keep trip meter pushed in.
Turn ignition to on but dont start car.
Wait and the millage will show.
Turn off ignition,next time you turn ignition on the service light will be out.

Turn your ignition key on and off three times then on the fourth time just leave it on and watch where the millage numbers are it will show you the error codes.

u have triped the anti theft and may have to go as far as puttinig old radio back in

have you checked the transmission oil.?

Ur calipre piston probably stuck and the brakes where dragging--For some reason the fluid did not return when u released the brake. Could be rust in ur calipre, blockage in the brake line.

have the ignition coil pack checked

even if they are both a 3.8 the answer is no.

fuses relays in engine compartment or in dash board . look at transfer case look for vacuum lines or electric lines.its probably electric. because most 4 wheel drive uses electric motors.99 up to 2009s model.

try changing the solenoid it sould either be on the fire wall or on the starter itself
