1994 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series The front passenger electric door lock is locked and I'm unable to unlock it. All the other door locks work just fine when I lock or unlock them. The manual sliding door lock mechanism on the passenger door won't budge. How can I unlock the door without using a blow torch? What's causing the problem and how difficult is it to fix myself? Thanks! Doc

Program new keyless entry remote for 1994 lincoln town car

Great news, you can program a 1994 Lincoln Town Car keyless entry remote yourself! Here are the steps:

NOTICE: You must have all remotes on hand when performing this procedure. Any remotes not used during this procedure will become inactive.
1. Turn ignition to RUN or ACC.
(Run is forward, just shy of starting car.)
2. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector located behind the glove box.
(The connector will have two pins inside of it, and it will not be plugged into anything. Jumping the pins means to make a connection between the metal inside the plug. You can do this by using any metal, a metal paperclip bent in the shape of a "U" usually works perfect.)
All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode.
3. Press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
4. If programming a second keyless remote, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

I am unable to unlock my doors from the key hole, however every now and then the trunk will unlock the doors. how can i get the door unlocked? The trunck does not unlock every tiime and sometimes it locks...

Your locks are out of sync. Lock all doors from Drivers side. Then go around to passenger side unlock, lock and relic. Should be able to unlock doors from drivers side as normal. If not, then one of your actuators are bad.

My 2003 Lincoln Navigator front passenger door lock does not raise or lower using lock/unlock switch in car or on keyless entry. I hear a "grinding"sound when I try to open with the unlock...

That noise is due to a failed door lock actuator. This is the electrical device located behind the door panel that is responsible for popping the lock when you press the button. Door lock actuator replacement will eliminate the noise and bring it back to normal operation.
