Why does 2002 Dodge 1500 ram keep running after I take the key out. Did find out there was a loud noise coming from engine a few days before.

Stuck contacts inside the ASD relay maybe or bad ignition switch . Pull the plastic cover from around the upper steering column an disconnect the wiring connector from the ignition switch an see if it stops running then . Find ASD relay in the under hood fuse box an replace it .

Can I put a 1998 dodge ram 1500 4.7L V8 engine in a 2002 dodge ram 1500?

Yes it will fit but why, it is a very poor engine choice as they are fraught with mechanical problems. the 5.2L is a better choice.

Can I use a 1995 dodge ram 1500 starter in a 2002 dodge ram 1500

I guess the short answer is no.
It depends on the engine and trans, but the starter for a 1995 model 5.2 is different from a 2002 model with a 4.7 engine.

Where is the oil pump located on a 2002 dodge ram 1500 5.9

Hi Sam, I'm glad to help! The oil pump on the 5.9 diesel engine is behind the timing cover on the left lower part of the engine. CAUTION: If you've never worked on the 5.9 engine do not attemped to do it yourself because there is crutial timing issues here that can cause extensive damage to the engine. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Sam.
