Stuck contacts inside the ASD relay maybe or bad ignition switch . Pull the plastic cover from around the upper steering column an disconnect the wiring connector from the ignition switch an see if it stops running then . Find ASD relay in the under hood fuse box an replace it .
Hi Sam, I'm glad to help! The oil pump on the 5.9 diesel engine is behind the timing cover on the left lower part of the engine. CAUTION: If you've never worked on the 5.9 engine do not attemped to do it yourself because there is crutial timing issues here that can cause extensive damage to the engine. You did not list the year of this dodge ram 1500 truck, many years have the ecu module located under the hood.on the right side of the engine compartment, if this is a diesel then its located on the left side of the engine compartment behind fuel filter. this is for a 1998 and is good for a few years before and after. good day
