When driving the car likes to just jump out of gear get stuck in newtreual then when you hit the gas the engine just revs up

Sounds like the sending unit has an intermittent short to ground. Unhook the the wire from the sending unit, and see if the needle stops jumping around. If it quits jumping around, replace the sending unit. If it still jumps around, you have a bare spot somewhere on the wire and it is hitting ground which will cause the needle to jump. Cut out the bad part of the wire and splice in a new section. That should fix it.

Jumping like a hard shift? I learned a hard lesson from this same symptom. I thought it was the transmission going out on me... it wasn't. Check your engine mounts for damage first. If the car jumps while driving too, check your MAF (mass airflow sensor) for some reason it jacks with the transmission.

Do a gram 3 step. Clean throttle body and injectors if it does not work ..... transmission problems

replace the fuel filter, first, if there is no check engine light, if that does not fix the problem ck the fuel pressure for possible fuel pump failure

Sounds like maybe a motor mount may have broken,if you
open the hood and put the car in drive ,then neutral then reverse
the engine should only "rock" about an inch or so,if it really jumps
that is the problem.

Low transmission fluid will cause this.

sounds like transmission speed sensor is broke and not telling tranny to shift test it with voltmeter

Have the diagnosis performed by certified transmission shop. Possibly bad solenoid in transmission.

If your in gear (D) for example and you hit the gas, engine revs, but car doesn't speed up, it's a problem with your transmission, and the first thing you can do is have the fluid level checked, and add fluid if needed. If that's not the cure, take it to a transmission shop & have it diagnosed.
