or it might be the air bags/sensors thats located next to the rear tires.

the compressor should cut out when the pressure is attained and no suspension movement requires air

Service air suspension

Your airbags probably have an air leak or are just starting to crack. Go to you tube and type in Suncore hummer suspension air bag replacement. They have a whole how to install that also show your suspension and how it fails

Hummer h2 2003 air suspection problem

if you park the car for few hrs, do u see the rear part going down ?
while the air compressor working, do u hear a leak in the air suspensions every few min ? (it can be clearly heard)

We got a 03 h2 and had same problem took to dealer and they said on board air compressor went bad wanted 3000.00 dollars to fix,i said bull and went to strutmasters .com and got the coil spring replacements fixed it for about 300.00 bucks rides perfect and we dont have to worry about those damn rear airbag suspension any more,hope this helps someone

I did the same thing. best thing you could ever do instead of pouring money into replacing the compressor when it could be something else altogether.
