Question about 2001 Ford Super Duty F 450

2001 Ford F650 with 7.2 Cat deisel acceleration problem

2001 Ford F650 with 7.2 Cat diesel - upon acceleration, motor stops accelerating and gas pedal does nothing. Other times, it accelerates fine. No check engine light comes on and at cruising speed, sometimes pedal just does nothing, other times it is fine.

Check your TPS Throttle positioning sensor. Sounds like it has a dead spot in it or it is failing. May also be a wiring harness issue or loose connection at TPS too! If its intermittent then it will soon go out completely. It should be located on your fuel pedal. Remove it and check it with an ohm meter. Check resistance all the way thru from 0-100 percent. When it is not working it should do nothing and show no resistance. When it is working the resistance value will increase and or decrease as you turn the sensor.

I HAVE A 2002 F-250 7.3 LITER Deisel. The accelerator works fine when I am under acceleration, but the pedal stops working when I maintain speed.
Most diesel engines have a governor that is set to top revs and it will not go any faster

Hi have an ford focus 2.0 diesel auto 2012 and it shudders at 30mph when i accelerate seems like it is under powered so i have to give it more gas
unbelievable
they fitted a plastic accelerator pedal sensor to the diesel model

have that sensor part checked out as well

Whistling noise under slight acceleration
check for a cracked manifold or cracked flex section at the manifold
it is under load so it is not a vacuum leak as the vacuum is low under acceleration and high under deceleration or idle
indicates a gas leak or possible blockage from failed cat converter

Vibration when accelerating when you let off gas it stops already replaced tires and ball joints and alignment
Might want to check your motor and transmission mounts.. do this by turning the car on holding the brake and shifting the car into Reverse... with the brake pedal still pressed, try reving up your motor a few times and feel for a thunk noise do the same thing in drive.

When i press on gas peddle the truck shakes
Is the check engine light on? Could be that the engine is misfiring, or broken motor mount causing the truck to shake when you press the gas pedal.

Very poor acceleration through all gears
diesel pump might not be working right. Try and check fuel pressure. I dont know if its turbo but if the turbo is failing then you will loose power

From a stop in my 2001 ford F150 it spudders when gas is applied when gas pedal is all the way down there is ZERO acceleration or horsepower
Is the service engine light on? How many miles are on it? This is a common occurrence with plugged catalytic converters, will idle ok but no power on acceleration. It can also be a fuel delivery problem, filter clogged, bad pump... Many possibilities.
