While driving my 1994 Honda Accord the brakes went out. I can only get the car to stop if I press the brake pedal all the way down to the floor. When the car is shut off and I pump the brake pedal, I can still push the brake pedal down to the floor with no build up in pressure. The brake fluid in the reservoir is below the minimum mark but I dont see any fluid leaking onto the pavement. I had new pads/rotors installed about 1000 miles ago and the brakes were working fine after that.

There may be air in the lines. Bleed all your brakes starting at the farthest wheel from the resevoir, and finishing at the closest one. Try the pedal after its bled. If the pedal still feels soft or travels to the floor there may be a pinhole leak that may be spraying on the underbody of the car, or the seals in the master cylinder are gone filling the vacuum booster(if equipped). Air compresses more than oil so if bleeding works that may be the problem.

2000 honda accord did brake job and bleed brakes one month ago. now brake goes to floor searched high and low for leak and bleed them over and over still nothing. i feeel it must be the master cylinder any opinions?

I changed the master cylinder on my 1994 accord ( bench bled the master cylinder) bled all the calipers and still have a soft pedal and the abs light is still on. Could this be a bearing sensor problem?
