I don't have a solution, but my 2000 town and country does the same thing. I just bought it a month ago and it started about a week after I bought it. I took it to my mechanic and he said the starter post were dirty and cleaned them, said that should fix it. Needless to say it's still doing it. I would love to know the reason as well. Anyone have any suggestions.

2002 Chrylser Town and Country. When we put the key in the ignition everything lights up like it should. You turn the key just to the on position and the the engine starts to turn over, but will not...

The Ignition Key assembly has a loose wire at the back. Remove it and fix the wires. The other possibility is that your Ignition Key assembly is faulty or damaged. Sometimes, if the wrong key is inserted, it could cause permanent damage of this kind.
These apply to all cars.

Our van key will not turn to start sometimes this just starting happening

These had a problem with dirt getting in the first tumblers in the lock cylinder. Have a qualified tech check that b4 it leaves you stranded completely. Could also be a problem with the ignition/ trans interlock system. Either way , not a diy thhing.
