Re: I need to replace my puel pump for plymouth voyeger...
The fuel pump in a Plymouth Voyager is electric so you should check the fuses and relays before inspecting the fuel pump itself. If you have fuel in your tank but your vehicle has difficulty getting fuel, you may need to clean your fuel pump or replace it entirely. The Plymouth Voyager comes in a variety of styles and this may affect your choice of fuel pump.

jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); });
});
Things You'll Need:
- Fuel pump kit
- Socket wrench set
- Torque wrench
-
Step 1
Determine the fuel pump that your Plymouth Voyager will require. This depends on the make and model and engine size of your vehicle. Models manufactured from 1991 to 1995 came with a 2.5 L K, 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72, 3.3L EGA or 3.8 L EGH engine. Models made after 1995 may have a 2.4 L EDZ, 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72, 3.3 L EGA or 3.8 L EGH engine.

Step 2
Relieve the fuel system pressure and drain the fuel tank. Disconnect the negative battery cable with a socket wrench.
-
Step 3
Support the fuel tank and loosen the strap bolts with a socket wrench. Remove the fuel line and electrical harness for the fuel pump.
-
Step 4
Lower the fuel tank so that you can remove the lock ring for the fuel pump. This will allow you to remove the fuel pump.
-
Step 5
Install the new fuel pump using the items included in the kit. Use a torque wrench to tighten the lock ring and bolts for the main fuel tank straps to 40 ft. lbs. Torque the bolts on the T strap for the fuel tank to 250 in. lbs.

Step 6
Complete the installation by reversing the removal procedure.
