P1745 - Transmission system problems.

The code for this concern is related to the EPC solenoid in the transaxle.

P1745 EPC EPC solenoid circuit failure EPC solenoid, circuit or PCM shorted or open. Soft/harsh shift feel

The wire to the EPC solenoid is a yellow and violet wire. The code indicates that the problem is strictly caused by this solenoid circuit. I would suggest inspecting this wire from the trans to the PCM.If there are no obvious faults, replace the wire with a new wire ,eliminating the faulty circuit. Hope this helped you.

I got a OBD car fault code po745.,on my Renault methane senic 2003., 106k ml.,what does it means?

P0745 - Pressure Control Solenoid Malfunction Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty line pressure solenoid valve
- Line pressure solenoid valve harness is open or shorted
- Line pressure solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection Help with this
Tech notes
When the a transmission solenoid is malfunction, in most cases the problem is not the electrical part of the solenoid; the problem is foreign material obstructing the mechanical function of the solenoid or the flow of the fluid through the transmission valve body. If the transmission fluid is very dirty, it is recommend changing the transmission fluid and if possible removing the transmission pan for further diagnosis. Excessive debris or metal particles on the transmission pan could be an indication that there is a transmission mechanical failure and that the transmission will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
Help with this
When is the code detected?
The P0745 is detected when TCM detects an improper voltage drop when it tries to operate the solenoid valve.
Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Transmission shift shock
P0745 Description
The line pressure solenoid valve regulates the oil pump discharge pressure to suit the driving condition in response to a signal sent from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

- 2/4-OD Pressure switch circuit is open or shorted
Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Transmission shift shockP1782 DODGE Description The pressure 2/4-OD Pressure Switch is part of the pressure switch of the transmission. The pressure switch are located in the solenoid assembly. The switch provide input information to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The switch will inform to the TCM is pressure exist in a specified hydraulic circuit. the TCM uses this information to verified that the solenoids are working or not.

Obd code p0457 fuel cap replaced mil reset defect not cleared connection checked ok

The code is for a large leak in the EVAP system such as a loose or missing gas cap. But it could also mean a loose or missing hose to the canister or other leak in the tank.
The computer vents the tank several times an hour while the engine is running, and it checks the system by pressurizing the gas tank. If the tank will not hold pressure the code is set.
You may have to check the top of the tank where the fuel pump gasket is, as well as the vent lines to the front of the car.
A mechanic would perform a smoke test to look for leaks.

The "Service Engine Soon" light

These are both EVAP emissions codes. The first thing I would do is open the fuel door and take a good wiff. If you smell gas replace the fuel cap.

If you don't smell gas the next thing you can do is visually inspect all the EVAP hoses and lines for cracks or holes. The EVAP system consists of a purge solenoid, a charcoal canister, a vent solenoid, a fuel tank pressure sensor, and misc. lines and hoses. All of these will need to be visually checked for damage.

If you don't see anything with a visual check than the next step would be to have the EVAP system smoke checked for leaks. A smoke machine will be used to slightly pressurize the EVAP system with smoke. Where ever the smoke comes out is where is is leaking.

1996 ford crown vic police model hard shifting

Do you have a check engine light on? The line pressure is too high in the transmission. This is either from a bad epc solenoid in the transmission or the computer commanding the pressure high from a bad MAF. If you have a bad MAF you should have other MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) codes in the computer.

Code 446 comes on and I smell gas

if that was the code for the purge vent solenoid i would say it is bad since you smell fumes. because that solenoid allows the vacuume from the engine while it is running to pull the excess fumes from the fuel tank and burn them off inside the engine. also might want to check lines under the hood associated with the solenoid to make sure excess air pressure from the fumes building up didn't blow a vac. line off. i would also check the condition of your fuel cap, if it doesn't seal good it could also cause a similar problem.
