Windshield washer not working

  1. check your windshield washer fluid level.
  2. make sure you can hear the fluid pump operating when you operate the switch.
  3. If you can hear the pump working and you have fluid in the reservoir but still no spray,
  4. check the washer fluid lines don't have holes and aren't clogged or pinched. check the sprayer nozzles make sure they are not clogged with debris.
  5. if your washer still doesn't work your fluid pump is probably the problem.

Washer fluid not spraying

Does the motor make a noise like its trying to pump when you press the water button? Best way to check is when the car is off and you turn the key to accessories, then try the water. If you hear a humming noise, your fuse and motor are working and you have a blocked spray unit. Just use a pin to unblock it.
If you dont hear a humming noise, locate the fuse and see if it is faulty. If the fuse is fine, your motor is bad so replace it. Hope this helps

1996 RAV 4 - (5 door) Front windsheild washer fluid will not spray. Container is full. Help!

when you twist or push the button for the washer (engine off key on) do you hear the motor whine? if so check that the sprayer ends are not blocked. you can use a sewing needle to poke the holes out where they spray to the windshield. if the motor does not engage then check the fuse if its good then the motor has failed and needs replaced. its located on the fluid bottle. hope this helps

your rear wiper motor might be faulty,in the front i would check your fluid level-if it is full and you hear the pump running-check your washer lines to see if they are pinched-usually around where the hood closes

Are you aware of problems with windshield wiper fluid working? Mine isn't spraying on window, thought it may be frozen even though I have -40c fluid and its topped up - it was +4c yesterday and it still...

Check to see if the sprayer motor is working you would hear it making sounds like it wants to spray. If it is working then you need to check the hoses running to the sprayers on the windshield wipers and make sure that the hoses and the spray nozzle are not clogged with dirt or frozen.
