My engine light has come on..i have a 2003 toyota echo. the car is really 'chugging' when i try to accelerate. when i'm in neutral it revs fine though

Sounds like you have a miss fire like bad plugs plug wires or coil

You must get the check engine light read. find the code and work for there. auto zone will read it for free. post the code or codes and i can help you fix this. with the wright info you can save alot of money
