Check fuse #19 in the rear fuse panel. If OK, you may have a bad Lift Gate Module (LGM) or a broken wire in the wire harness between the lift gate and the body (in the area of the rubber boot)
There were some issues with ignition switches in those vehicles.It is easy to change and does not cost but about $30. Remove the column covers, unplug the switch, and depress the 2 white tabs holding it in place. Good Luck
There is a black plastic cover on your wiper motor. It's held on by one screw i think. Behind it you will find the circuit board. They are about 20 or 30 bucks. I hope that's your problem!

CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES HAVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEMS THAT WILL NOT TURN ON, CEASE OPERATION WHILE IN USE, FAIL TO TURN OFF/ON BY THEMSELVES (MOISTURE SENSITIVE WIPER SYSTEM), OR HAVE CONTINUOUS WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP OPERATION BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF WATER WITHIN THE WIPER MODULES CAN EITHER CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT OR CAN LEAD TO THE CORROSION OF COMPONENTS WITHIN THE MODULE.
Consequence
DEPENDING ON THE OCCURRENCE AND WEATHER SITUATION, DRIVER VISIBILITY COULD BE REDUCED, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. RemedyDEALERS WILL COVER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MODULE VENT HOLE WITH A PATCH.
