Problems starting my 2005 nissan frontier

When i try to start my 2005 nissan frontier the starter tries but the engine won't take. Then all of my gages start twitching and the mileage that is resettable zeros out. This usually only happens when its cold.

Sounds like the battery is weak which will cause the gauges to twitch.

2005 Altima won't start, hear clicking sound coming from fuse box,key stuck in ingintion, won;t turn over, tried to jump start.

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

2005 nissan frontier wont start i have fuel and spark. engine cranks over but no start

Take one of the spark plugs out and let us know what it looks like. Dry and light grayish tan means you have spark but fuel supply problems. Wet spark plug that smells like gas means it is more of a spark issue.

Good Luck

When i try to start my 2005 frontier i turn the key and all it does is click mulitple times. i have tried to jump it and it doesnt work. my radio and lights do still work.

Most likely a bad solenoid on the starter assembly. The clicking you hear is the solenoid trying to move the starter gear onto the flywheel and make the electrical connection to the starter.

Remove the starter (the solenoid is attached) from the truck and take it your friendly auto parts store for testing. While you are going in it is a good idea to bring your battery in for testing too. A starter near failure stresses the battery and can cause it to fail as well.

Nissan starter

Try replaceing the starter realy but if itsa 5 speed try bypassing the clutch safety switch with a paper clip and you might see that it will start, the clutch switch is on the clutch pedal, if it's automatic it's on the brake switch.

2005 nissan frontier crew cab won't start

Make sure you have 12 volts from the positive side of the battery to the starter. Check the small wire on the starter solenoid and make sure you have 12 volts when cranking engine. If voltage is correct, the starter is bad

I have a 1998 Nissan Frontier. It will not start. I have check fuses and starter and battery. Have power but won't start. Cannot locate the Starter Relay Switch. Where exactly is it located?

Does the starter crank the engine over? Saying your truck won't start could mean that the starter spins be the engine won't fire. If the starter is not spinning is it at least clicking?

2005 Frontier V6 Crew Cab - wont start - battery good - can kick start.

hi i had same problem a few days ago brought to the dealership and turns out there is a clutch stop sensor that if it is not making contact will not allow you to start using the key part cost about $25 with labor it was $113 to be fixed at dealership seems it only last about 30-35k miles before breaking if yours is manual that could be your problem hope this helps
