Check from the pedal all the way through the firewall to the connection on the engine. Somewhere in the system you will find the reason.

if you can find away to read the codes you will probably find that it has a bad throttle position sensor

My 1994 BMW 525i e34 came up with the Trans Program warning. Accelerator would not rev the engine!

sounds as if the accelerater cable broke, when you were able to throttle under the hood did you happen to notice if the accelerater cable was moving freely.

Monojet carb 7040025 hesitation on full throttel acceleration . idle good, timming adjusted to spech's , no manifold leak's,fuel volume & presure ok ,no exaust restriction's, dist adv. ok, compresion...

check for stuck advance weights in dist. Check accel pump in carb

Rough Idle while stopped and low speeds

heve utried adjusting the trottle , just put your foot on the accelerater and hold at just under 1000 revs if shaking goes then thats your problem should idle at just under 1000rpm

Replacement accelerater cable on focus 02 reg

you may have a badly carboned throttle body that needs cleaning with carb cleaner.

If cable:

Accelerator Cable —1.8L/2.0L Removal

Disconnect the accelerator cable.
1. Remove the accelerator retaining clip.
1. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
Detach the accelerator cable from the bracket.
1. Rotate the cable to release.
1. Detach the accelerator cable.
Remove the footwell trim panel.
Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal.
Attach a draw cord to the accelerator cable to assist with installation.
Remove the accelerator cable.

Loud ticking/knocking/rattling sound when I start/accelerate

hi is it miss-firing as it sounds like a knocking noise can be anything but if you can feel it on the accelerater pedal then the noise sounds like its on the inlet valve side which would transfere the noise up the throttle body where the accelerater is located it could be something as simple as a tappet come loose to a burned valve you need to have a look do a compression test and take the rocker cover off see if theres anything come loose yates210456
