You use your jack handle to crank it down if you have lost your jack handle use a 16 inch 3/8 drive extension and ratchet to crank it down.

Yes, using a tire of a different size will likely set the lights. Not sure what your local emissions test requires, but I would not put a bunch of miles on the car with the spare.

Evap canister vent control solenoid location 1999 ranger

In a '99 Ranger the purge valve is not anywhere in the engine compartment. Not there. SO, I guess it is above the spare tire...<sigh>..will post when I find it in my 1999 Ranger XLT 3.0L flexfuel. Seems the '99 location is unique
