Nope, there is an automatic adjustment device at the clutch pedal. If the clutch only operate when the pedal is near the floor and you have about 150000 km you might need a new clutch.check the device at the pedal first for broken teeth, otherwise replace the clutch including the clutch bearing

I need to adjust my clutch but it seems like the adjuster by the pedel wont stay clicked in the spot i want it in

Unfortunately the plastic stock adjuster doesn’t allow for precisely adjusting the clutch cable.
You can purchase an aftermarket adjuster that mounts on the fire wall that enables you to adjust the clutch cable to any position you choose. It also eliminates the rubber grommet on the clutch cable that gives the cable a firmer feel, which improves shifting dramatically.
Steeda, UPR, BBK & Ford Racing all offer one.
Another improvement is to change the plastic adjustable quadrant to an aluminum quadrant eliminating any deflection during hard shifting.

Hope this helps.

Scenic dificult to change gears would it be clutch cable sretched or would it need replaceing

i doubt it will be the clutch cable but either the clutch is worn or what is more likely is the clutch cable adjuster, the clutch cable adjuster can be found where your clutch pedal is, it is prudent to replace the cable and adjuster at the same time,

How do you adjust the clutch on a 1991 honda civic 1.5

The 1991 model was not hydraulic. There is a cable extending from the clutch pedal to the bell housing on the passenger side of the engine compartment. There is a plastic adjusting nut where the cable enters the bell housing. Turning the nut to the right tightens the cable and reduces the amount of travel required to disengage the clutch.

Renault clio clutch adjust

If the problem is just a clutch cable (clio 55 plate should be cable, not hidraulic), you can adjust or replace the clutch cable quit easily.

If the problem concerns instead the clutch disk, then you will need to put a car up on a bridge, empty the oil and fluid, and remove the clutch that is attached on the engine, on the right lower side.
This is usually not a job for home repair.

Clutch slipping

first i would try adjusting the clutch cable because commonly people with think that they're clutch is going out when really just the cable has gotten stretched....try adjusting that first and if that works then you should be fine for another couple thousand miles but if you want to not have to worry bout it for awhile i would just replace teh clutch assembly....usually ranges from $200 to $450 depending on the clutch set and the mechanic that does the work for you. Let me know what happens. :)

Jetta clutch

The clutch cable for your vehicle is an auto adjust clutch cable... assuming it is using oem equipment. if you tension seems incorrect you may want to pick up this Manual adjust clutch cable http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volkswagen/Jetta/Clutch/39/11 the auto adjust ones tend to go out and ruin your clutch. the manual adjust is a direct swap out for the auto adjust. if you need info on how to install please reference this site http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1569293
