make sure the fluids , in this case oil is up to the full mark, if they didn't change the filter during the oil change , do it now, then have the warning light reset, if the problem comes back, lemme know and I'll assist you more, but that should take care of a low oil indicator
1. turn ignition to ON (II) position 2. press the select/reset knob on dashboard repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed. 3. press and hold select/reset knob until the display starts to blink ( about 10 seconds) then release knob. 4. press and hold knob again until maintenance code goes off and oil life indicator resets and shows 100% (about 5 seconds) , then it is reset . Perform service indicator warning is a heads up that another oil change is needed. Your vehicles computer calculates a duty cycle for service intervals; Driving distance, stop and go etc... Change the engine oil, and reset the alert, and you'll be fine.

if you have a owners manual read it. try coloradofans.com website and search the forums. i think johnny5846 is right if you don't have a DIC (driver info center). i believe you use the DIC(tripodometer). i don't know the sequence off hand, you can also you can change your lock settings and alarm settings, etc. with the DIC.
RESETTING THE ENGINE OIL LIFE INDICATOR
On LX and EX models
If maintenance is done by someone other than your dealer, reset the maintenance minder as follows:
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON ( II ).
2. Press the SELECT/RESET knob until the engine oil life indicator
is displayed.
3. Press the SELECT/RESET knob for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance item code (s) will blink.
4. Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 5 seconds. The maintenance items code (s) will disappear, and the engine oil life indicator will reset to "100".
The oil warning light indicates no oil pressure, changing the oil would not affect the light. You should not drive the car if this light is on, because if it is operating correctly, you will ruin your engine.
