I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 Limited, everything seems to be working fine except one problem. I sometimes get the ABS, Traction Control and ESP lights, and they all stop working, which becomes a safety issue Do you guys know if there is any way to fix it yourself? Thank you very much, V.S.

Sounds like wheel speed sensor or air gap on sensor causing intermittent loss of signal, wheel bearings that have play can cause similar condition. With a scanner you can check to see what history codes may be present, if the light(s) are not on when you scan it or have it scanned. Hope this helps

Jeep Liberty How to fix Traction ABS EST Light Codes C1240 C123F Also a guy in a forum says that it might involve a recall of the DCX recall applying to ABS modules on many Chrysler, Dodge, & Jeep products including the Commander. I'd call your dealer and ask, they might fix it for free if it's a recall. http://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/5-general-commander-discussion/1483-esp-bas-traction-control-light-staying.html

Abs and traction control light remain on.brakes were checked and are fine.any suggestions.

Most likely one of the wheel ABS sensors is defective, it makes the vehicle think that one wheel is turning at a different speed to the others which causes issues for both the ABS and the traction control.

Hi I have a 2006 300 Chrysler 300 limited My abs light and the esp light stays on. What is causing the issue?

I have looked over the book, the only thing I could find that affects both of these systems is the "Anti-lock brake module". Doesn't look to be to big of a job, however it appears that this will be a dealer purchased part. I do not guarantee that is the problem, if possible you may want to have your local auto parts store hook it up to an OBD2 reader, with electrical systems this should quickly pinpoint the problem. Be aware their are two different types of modules on these cars (one per car), if you decide to purchase this, ensure they give you the correct part.

Hope this helps.

2003 vw jetta 1.8 ESP light stays on, no traction control

The problem is almost certainly NOT the MAF sensor.
This problem can be caused by any one of the following
A faulty or dirty ABS wheel sensor...situated at each one of the 4 hubs
although the ABS light would usually illuminate if one of these sensors is faulty.....but NOT always

A faulty ESP switch The switch may be stuck in the open position, which WILL illuminate the ESP light and turn OFF your traction control.

Some models are also fitted with a YAW sensor, which detects side slip while driving. If this goes faulty it will also Illuminate the ESP light.
This sensor is bolted to the center of the floor panel..under the rear seat.
So as to save time and money..You should have the OBD codes scanned. This will pin-point the problem in minutes.

All the best
John

Where are the esp senors located on a 2006Chrysler 300 limited

There are alot of things that will make those lights turn on. Get it checked at the dealer. Could be an ABS sensor/module, could be the steering angle sensor, or other things.

I have a 2005 chrysler 300 touring edition and while driving a red blinking lightning bolt symbol came on, om the left side of my dash. On the right side a yellow ESB symbol came on. Do you know what this...

the red light means power limited. the yellow ESP light is part of the traction control system.. if you were on slippery ground its a normal thing to happen if the tires spin
