Turn your wipers off, using the stalk on the left side of your steering column. Turn your ignition off and remove the key.

Pull the wiper blade up to lift it to the service position. Pull the front part of the blade down to position it at an angle.

Pull back the lock pin on the center part of the wiper blade (where it connects to the wiper arm). This unlocks the blade from the wiper arm.

Grasp the blade on each side and pull it down (away from the extended wiper arm) to release it from the "U" clip.

Repeat the process for the other wiper blade, if desired. Removing the driver's side and passenger's side wiper blade is the same.

Install the new wiper blade. Open the lock pin on the new blade, and then insert it into the wiper arm "U" clip. Close the lock pin and lower the wiper blade to its normal position.

To replace wiper blades the actual action of replacing the blade is no big deal, it's the location of the blade down below the hood that can make it difficult though. Sometimes it helps to open the hood to gain access to the wiper blades. Other times it is helpful if the wiper blade is somewhere in the motion line of wiper action. The trick is to get the wiper to stop somewhere in the wiper arc. Turn the wipers to the on position and allow the wipers to start, and then shut the key off when the wiper has arrived in a desirable position on the windshield. • Step 1: With the hood closed, turn the wipers on, when the wipers are in the middle of their arc turn the key to the off position. (Note: if this can't be done because of wiper condition and you want to avoid scratching the windshield please open your hood to gain access)
• Step 2: Locate the mounting clips at the top pivot on the wiper blade
• Step 3: Release the clip and remove the wiper arm
• Step 4: Match the size of the old blade against the new blade to ensure proper fit and operation
• Step 5: Reinstall the new wiper blade and recheck wiper operation

Common Problems:

• Make sure the wiper blades are the same size as the original blades.
• When replacing wiper blades not getting the blade on the mounting pin completely allowing the wiper arm to become dislodged and possibly causing damage to the windshield.
• Using wiper blades after the blade has failed permanently damaging the windshield by craving scratches in the wiper arc.
• Wiper blade can create a chattering noise when the blade is not properly balanced allowing the blade to "flop" back and forth as the wiper direction changes.

1. REMOVE RR WIPER BLADE

1. Raise the rear wiper blade to the position as shown in the illustration where the meshing of the claw disengages with a clicking sound. NOTE: Be careful not to break the claw.
2. Pull straight the rear wiper blade to vehicle's left from the wiper arm. NOTE: Do not fold the rear wiper arm with the rear wiper blade removed from it.

1. REMOVE REAR WIPER RUBBER

1. Place the rear wiper with the rear end of the rubber protruded from the blade stopper as shown in the illustration. NOTE: Do not pull out the wiper rubber forcibly, as the backing plates will become deformed or the blade claws will become damaged. HINT: The rubber can be easily pulled out by pushing the middle area of the blade.

1. INSTALL REAR WIPER RUBBER

1. Install the 2 wiper rubber backing plates to the rear wiper rubber. NOTE: Be careful to observe and keep direction of curvature for correct replacement.

b. Insert the rear wiper rubber from the claw of the middle of the rear wiper blade into the rear end position.

c. After passing the rear wiper rubber through the rear end side claw, protrude it from the rear end stopper and pass it through the front tip side claw.

If you still have your '08 Cruiser, I just changed mine (I'm also a Mom)...You have to pop off the plastic cap on the base of the wiper where it attaches to the window, then with a small wrench, take off the hex nut. Work the wiper arm off the spindle, then replace like the front wipers...push old wiper hook up, pull thru, and replace blades per instructions in the blade package...Pat

just change like the normal wiper blade, very simple
