Slow acceleration in 2002 monte carlo LS . When i hit the gas hard the rpms go up very slowly as if its choked out but fuel and air filters are clean. mas air flo just replaced. there is a belt screaching, also the power steering seems to make a laboured sound when turning right or going straight, but not when turning left. sometimes after about three seconds of flooring it it seems to kick in and go, thats when the belt screaches. has some mods, KN air filter fancy exhaust system, and street glo.

The fuel filter is located in the pressure line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine, near to the fuel tank.
Keep the engine off for few hours before replacing the filter, to get rid of some pressure in the lines.

It's the belts. Quick fix is spray some kind of silicone lubricant on them, like tire shine. You should really replace the belt or belts that are making noise, also check the belts tension. Too loose and they'll make noise

Of its not fuel it is fire. Check plugs, coils, etc.
