The flashing check engine light means there is a serious problem with the performance of the engine. You need to get the computer scanned for trouble codes next.
I am having the same problem with my 2008. The dealer cannot find the problem so is now replacing the computer. very frustrating as they do not know if this will solve it.
Behind the glove box, if you have trans problems there is a warranty extension going on up to 150.000 and 98 months, they replace your ecm, and if that dont fix the hard shifting then they replace the transmission.
the only thing located in that area is the tranmission.if you want, jack the car up from that side, support it with a jack stand, then get under your car and check all trans hoses including the trans, for any leaks.if the liquid is pink in color, then it has to be transmission fluid that is leaking ok.good luck and take care, manny
