i got a 2001 silverado 1500 and it wont start it turns over and fires and .... Put the key in and the truck barely starts due to the battery being weak. .... Does it crank? Battery charged? Need more info

if you know there is gas in it sounds like fuel sending unit in tank

if the battery is dead, It will make that sound even if you have power to the dash board and radio.try to jump the car and if it run then its your battery and if not then check your starter. Good luck bro

NEED TO CHECK FUEL PRESSURE TO SEE what it is reading truck should have 60psi if it is lower it can cause symptons injectors wont fire right with low pressure

usually caused by a low battery. See if you can get a free test of your battery at the parts store. If that isn't it, please get back to me.

check fuel preasure may have bad pump, try pouring i little gas down throtle body, if it fires up then i would say pump is bad, good luck.

Try changing the crank sensor or coilpack.

i have an 02 silverado and i had the same type of issue! wound up being a short in a wire running over the gas tank that operates the fuel pump! it would start fine and then it would die! and not start back! then it would start! take it to the dealer and have them check it - however diagnostics will not show a problem unless they can duplicate it!! hope this helps

sounds like tbi has gone out on it thats what happend to my 88 silverado
