Daewoo lanos 2000 car will not start

The car will not start, we took it to a garage and was told by them that they could see nothing wrong with it. they changed the camshaft sensor, but still the car didn't start, then he said he was fiddiling around with the ignition coil and another mechanic was fiddling with something under the stering wheel, and the car just started, and was then fine for several hours, then went back to not starting again. The garage said they didn't no what made the car start as the two of them were doing something differnt. They said that if it stopped again then it was probably the brain of the car and would not be worth fixing. Is this the only other possibilty

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

You should have checked the crankshaft sensor, not the camshaft sensor. I had the same problem. My car would crank and crank, but it would not start, until I went below the car and played around with it and had a friend of mine start it while I was playing with and it started. Changed it and never saw a problem again.

Car running lumpy, reduced power

Is the garage you took it to a daewoo dealership? If not then try one; they should be able to run a diagnostic. If so, take to a different one.

I would think it is the o2 sensor. If you disconnected it then it sounds like you have the knowledge to replace one. When mine went bad the car didn't stall.
