I cant start my 03 f 150 because the anti theft wont let me. i undid the battery to clean it and now everytime i hook the posative back up the alarm goes off
Is this an aftermarket alarm. The factory "alarm" on the 03 F-150 is only the panic alarm on the Remote entry fob, if equipped. The immobilizer would only be the PATS key, which would show as a crank no start. You may want to check manual, or call dealer for disarm procedure, but some are disarmed by key in drivers door, (lock and/or unlock, some are passenger door) Try key in drivers door, turn left then right.

I don't think the anti-theft is the problem.
On GM vehicles, the anti-theft system will not allow the engine to crank, or get fuel or spark. If it cranks, you have a different problem.
Unfortunately if you are referring to the factory anti-theft system - it will have to have computers replaced. Once the Engine Computer sees a Theft Alarm request it will remain there forever and it will shut down the fuel system until seeing an OK To Start from the Theft Alarm.
If it is after market alarm - find it and disconnect wiring - restore connections to original

If you are having trouble with the system? Make sure the battery is good and fully charged. There are entry switches on the back side of the lock cylinders on both front doors (probably knocked off when the door is "Slim Jim'd") and the trunk lock.
If your battery is dead and you try to jump it - you will have to turn off the alarm again after hooking up the jumper
This is the problem due to your anti theft alarm system. You have not mentioned which brand of anti-theft alarm system you have? Anyhow, most of the systems have a reset switch inside the kit, open the kit and on the main board, u will find the reset button, press that and hold for 5 sec, the system will be reset. Otherwise, there are 2 or 3 fuses with the wiring of kit, remove those fuses and ur engine will wake up but the anti-theft system wont work then, hope this will solve the problem
