Check oil when oil is warm use a towel the stuffs hot.
Theres a yellow dipstick under the hood located on either side of the engine or on the back side of engine.Pull the dipstick out wipe it clean then check the oil after the oil is warm and the car sits for about 4 minutes not running.Gets all the oil to the pan.Check then if its not to the line on the warm side of the stick add oil. Check oil monthly and change oil every 3,000 miles you can add oil to the oil if low before 3,000 but do not mix two different oils use oil that the truck requires usually it tells you on the cap or inside the hood .

How many litres of oil in a E51 2003 nissan elgrand please for oil change

Should hold 4.3 liters if dry. With an oil change and filter replacement, I would add 3 liters, check the oil level and add the 4th if it will fit based on the dip stick measurement. Then run the engine, check for leaks and stop the engine to check the oil level again. Add oil to the appropriate level on the dip stick.

How many quarts of oil do I need to put in Toyota celica 1983, it's real low

Your 1983 Toyota Celica takes 4 quarts with new filter,Since your just adding,it depends what is showing on the dip stick, you say it's real low, which it probaly will take a least a quart, then add that and wait a few minutes to get to oil pan, then check dip stick twice and if still low, open another quart and add a fourth and check, add more if needed, then after you have drove, park, let sit, then check. If you add to much, there's a drain plug at oil pan underneath,You can go to Autozone and buy oil and ask if they will add, they will do it for free.

Oil level light show

Check the oil level. engine off; open hood; pull dipstick; wipe with rag and replace. Then pull out again and read the oil level. If it is at the lowest acceptable level, you need to add one quart. If below that, add more. On the valve cover, there is a cap that comes off for you to pour the oil into. Add some oil, wait a few seconds, then check level again at the dipstick. Do not overfill.

Check your owners manual for which oil to use - normally will be 5W-30, but go with the manual's specification.

When I turn the key on there are there warning beeps on my 1988 audi and the oil light comes on whats going.

If the oil's full the problem is in the sensor and a mechanic can repair the problem. If the oil level is low, change or fill the oil and the light should go off. If you've never done an oil change yourself you may want to have assistance as it can be tricky. When you check the oil and the level is at the "add" line you will add one (1) quart of oil only. If it's not registering on the dipstick you'll need to add two (2) quarts, check the level after several minutes and add accordingly. JiffyLube does good work and will save you the headache of labor. Good luck to you

My oil warning light is on and my oil pressure guage has dropped. what is wrong is it ok to drive to a garage to fix it and is it expensive to fix my vehicle is a 1994 nissan skyline 2ltr 6cylinder vehicle

I would see if the oil sensor on the block or filter area is plugged in. If it is then I would just go ahead and change it. If the light is still on then you might want to have an oil pressure test done. If you don't have a pressure gauge that screws into the sensor hole, then you might want to have it done to make sure the pump is still good. Let us know how it goes.

Engine rattle noise with oil change light on

Your oil level is low. Wait until the motor is cold and check your oil level. You could also check your level after a drive just shut the motor down and wait 20 minutes for the oil to seep back down out of the block. Pull the dipstick, whipe it clean and did it in again and see what your reading is. If it is between Min and Max towards the middle of both it is fine. If It is all the way up by Max you may have too much, but I bet your oil level is low, I bet when you check it, it will be down near the min mark. If thats the case, find out what type of oil your car uses and buy one quart of oil and add some of it to your motor. I recommend you add about a quarter of the bottle, then stop check the dip stick if still low add a little more. If the level is good then stop. It is critical not to add too much oil. When cars get older they tend to run hot and burn oil. My van does the same thing, I can change the oil and add 5 quarts and about 3 weeks to a month later I have to add a little more and I usually can hear when i need to add some oil because I get a rattle/ping and the idle just doesnt sound right, but once I add the little bit of oil everything is all good.
