Hello dear,
I think you should have the off-road tires for your jeep. They have better traction and an exclusive tread pattern that will give you great performance on off-road as well as highway.
Here is the best off road tires I would recommend:

This depends on what you are asking. tire brand or tire type. brand wise ive allways had good luck with BF Goodrich. type on the other hand depends what you mostly use the car for. an agressive tread pattern will give you good off road control but tends to be noisey on the highway and wears a little faster. an all terrain or AT will give okay service on both and a straight street tire will give excellent service on hard surfaces but not very good for off road. with that said if you only go off road occassionly an all terrain would probably be best. hope this helps

Goodyear tire pressure chart

the stock car , using stock tires, , the drivers door shows this.

if not stock tires and using other size tires.

that sticker is USELESS,

bingo, you are the engineer now.

and yes you need the factory tire datasheet and pressure loading charts.

for that ask at GooD year, you will need the EXACT tire, type , make, model and size,

each tire type is DIFFERENT.

if you dont do this and use too much pressure the tires WILL CROWN and skid. a danger to you and me on the road with you.

there are 2 ways, to do this.

  1. use the real table for your TIRE

  2. or the the foot print tests. (white chock the tread? trick ,ask)

best pressure is based on total weight on each tire.

that is a hard cold fact.

what you do is, inflate the tire so the foot print is flat

not crowned or cupped.

fact.

ASK the maker because they change tire designs like skirt lengths.

match what you have with the correct table.

ask GOODYEAR, direct.

i have it for my tires. on my jeep.

and my jap jeep.

If you want an All terrain that's good in the snow, rain and quiet, go with Cooper Discover AT/3 or more aggressive Goodyear Duractrac.

If you want Best MPG

I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. My front end began rattling back and forth very badly when I would hit approximately 50mph but the problem would alleviate itself when i braked, then eased over...

I have to admit this does sound like a tire issue, but if rotating them doesn't help then you may need 4 tires. I also believe there is something els the matter causing the tires to wear like this. either the ball joints or suspension. Since the problem went away with two newer tires for awile tells me new tires fixed the problem but it came back due to sometnig worn out and causing the issue. Before getting new tires have your mechanic garuntee there is no other hidden isse in the suspension causing the break down of your tires.

What is the proper tire for the 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Trick question.....no fair!!!!!!

Seriously, it depends on your application. I had a 1999 and now drive a 2001......

The best advice will be from a good tire store... I can only offer you what I know based on experience.

A good "All Season" M/S (mud and snow) tire rated "Traction A" is OK for "all season" driving UNLESS you are facing allot of mud and snow!

If so, you need "off road" or "snow" tires.... if you are looking at lots of ice on the road, you need to have them "studded". You will have to change this type of tire after the winter season is over as required by law. Also, these tires make allot of "road noise" and are unsuitable for things like commuting down the freeway.

You will get the best advice from your local tire dealer because even though we can give you generic answers like those I just provided, your local tire dealer can understand much better exactly what you want to use your Jeep for in your particular neighborhood, and give you exactly what you need.

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4 which ran fine until it was time to put new tires on it. Purchased new tires Sept 2010 & a vibration started throughout the entire vehicle. The vibration usually...

Hmmm,. very interesting...

I have to throw this out there,. there are some certain tires which can only be put on so that thye spin in only one direction, if put onto the rims reversed, they will create havoc (and excessive wear),. I forget what the name of this style of tires are called, but they do exist..

ok here also you can tell if you have these kind of tires as it is like running your hand over a pet petting the back of a dog from head towards **** - its fairly smooth -- and when you run your hand back up towards the neck you get resistance and the hair stands up - ie not as smooth of a feel as the other direction... this is true with these tires.

I'm curious to see how this one pans out...

Best regards
Ck

Im am rotating tires on a 94 jeep cherokee the

Move the passenger side rear tire to the front, and passenger side front to driver side rear. Switch the driver side rear tire to the front and driver side front to passenger side rear. Repeat this "X" pattern each time you rotate the tires. Rotate the tires from side to side if the tires are different sizes on the front and rear.

This is the better solution. Hope helped (remember rated this help)

For more details about Jeep Cherokee, review the Service Manual.

Good luck.
