Just got an 1998 Isuzu Wizard (diesel 3000L), some times it does not start sounds like not getting diesel or it starts but not picking up revs, i replace diesel filter and replaced oil + filters, any thing that i can check?
The 3.0 is a bit different to other diesels - your problem is the rops - rail oil pressure sensor which tells the ECU its ok to start injecting fuel but ! they go wrong and do just what yours is doing.
Lives under the cam cover ,can be changed easy but needs coding in on a tech 2 by the dealer to run right .
The fuel runs through the head on this engine ,once its running it warms up fast .
It sounds like the fuel is gelled, is it cold where you are and what are running for fuel? If your in freezing weather you should be running blended fuel, straight No.2 will gel at about 25 degrees (F). Take a hair dryer or heat gun and warm the fuel filter up. Or if you can get in warm garage and get it started thin the diesel with kerosene, about 2 gallons to 20 gallons of diesel. Then drive it for at least five miles so the kerosene gets circulated through the system. I've used gasoline to do this too, but only use about 1 gallon to 20 gallons of diesel.
