Hello, these lights being on indicate a fault that affect both vehicle stability control and engine performance. In some cases, it could be a transmission related concern, but not in all.
However this can be very helpful
Make sure you are completely stopped. Put the car in park if you can. Press and hold the VSC button for a few seconds. The TRAC OFF and VSC OFF indicator light will come on. Both systems are now off. Press the VSC button again. Both lights will turn off and the systems are now reengaged.
You can also check this out if you are having any problems with your smart key
We are assuming that you are talking about the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) and VSC OFF message.
Stability control systems are offered under the following names: On Lexus is called as Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC) systems.
It can mean a lot of things. Usually, it is an engine fault that leads
to VSC cancellation as well. Scanning for actual fault codes would be a
good start.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate
your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about
this answer.
Hi Jason
Sound as if the fault detection has recorded a fault in the transmission. take it and have an electronic scan carried out and have the fault pin pointed.

Most of the time the VSC light will come on with check engine and trac off light. (picture of veh with squiggle lines behind it) Whatever triggers a Check eng turns the vsc and trac systems off. could be a loose gas cap or something related to emissions system. Most times it will have to be diagnosed. Veh maybe equipped to turn vsc off, there would be a button for it.
It is Vehicle Skid Control, engaged it senses when you accelerate on a slippery surface and prevents your tires from spinning, in otherwords you cant do any burnouts
Basically, stop driving it until you can get the transmission serviced.
If you can safely jack up the vehicle and support it so it cannot fall on you, you can possible save some money by checking all the electrical connections to the transmission. Sometimes the problem is a loose or bad connection. If that does not work, your safest bet is to bring it to a certified mechanic, especially one who specializes in Lexus.
