Sounds as if the engine isn't getting the amount of gas it suppose to, but again the plugs or wires may be the problem. sometimes you can't tell if the car is skipping with you traveling the freeway. I always, start by cleaning the throttle body and a quick plug change along with fuel filter. These are simple to change and rather on the cheap side, plus it's part of a well tune-up.

Changed all the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and cleaned the throttle body. Still the same. The car runs good except on start-up and climbing hills. If I push the pedal to the floor it acts like it wants to bog down but if I lift off the throttle a little bit it will run better and actually gain speed. It also runs fine when you keep the RPMs up before letting out the clutch. If you don't keep the RPMs up at take off it will bog down but keep going. I talked to another guy with a swift and he said his did the same thing and it was a TPS - Does that sound like it could be the problem with mine? Now my question is if I change the TPS - is it a bolt on part or does it need to be set to a certain spec? Anything special about changing one out?
