There is still more to check. like the mass air flow sensor, the whole fuel line cleanout, and if its an auto it does have a camshaft sensor. its located into the transmission.

Why does my 2003 pontiac sunfire lose all power while driving

That can be the symptom of a bad Ignition Control Module, or also a bad crank position sensor. The ICM can be taken off and tested for free at any parts store. The crank sensor circuit can be tested on the car with a multi-meter. Also small motors (like a fuel pump motor) that are starting to fail can sometimes work until they get hot and then stop working until they cool down again.

Next time the car shuts down and won't restart, check for spark on a spark plug wire with the engine cranking over. If you have no spark, suspect the ignition control module or the crank position sensor. If you still have spark, but won't start, check if the fuel pump is putting gas up to the engine.

No gas getting to filter,,, car has been running fine

Change the fuel pump or make sure the fuel safety cut off switch didn't trip or look for a blown fuse. The fuel cut off is usually found in the trunk.

WHERE IS THE FUEL TANK LEVEL SENSOR LOCATED ON PONTIAC SUNFIRE LOCATED 2.2L ECOTEC ENGINE

The float level rheostat is fitted to the fuel tank. So checking on the side of the fuel tank you will find wires fitting to a sealed unit. The gasket and fitment must be carefully removed and refitted so that there is no fuel leak.

2003 pontiac sunfire 2-2lL ecotec 4 cyl engine where is the fuel filter located???

Generally, the fuel filter is located anywhere along the supply fuel line, and is usually threaded or clipped onto the line. On that car I believe it is close to the gas tank, behind the charcoal canister (it's a black plastic container). Move the canister out of the way for easier access. Hope this helps.

Where is the cam timing scensor on a 2003 pontiac sunfire

The camshaft position pick up sensor is found at the front of the tappet cover, (on top of the engine). There is an electrical connection which usually has two cables inside an insulated cover. If it is defective, the engine will usually refuse to start at all, as the sensor in question sends a signal to the ignition system. As I have said, try the fuel pump and fuel filter first.Regards Johngee10

My 2003 pontiac starts runs for three mins and cuts off can it be the cam shaft sensor that is causing if it is where is it located at on the car

Hi There Helen,I believe your problem is more likely to be with the fuel pump. Have the pressure checked and if it reads low have it replaced.Best regards
