2000 Dodge Ram Cummins 2500, 4 WD, Automatic. Turns over but won't start. Relays & Fuses okay. Shifting linkage okay. Replaced neutral safety switch. Fuel is delivered to the injectors. The only obvious issue is that the steering wheel does not lock when the key is removed. How is this fixed or is there something else causing the problem??
May not have enough fuel pressure coming from injection pump to pop injectors. Check transfer pump pressure( should be no less than 8 psi. Did you hhave a check engine light on before it quit? May have a bad injection pump. Do you get smoke from the tailpipe while crannking? May need to have it towed to dealer so he scan the computer system?
Sounds to me like the injection pump may be the culprit. If so, grap hold of your wallet. The pump alone is around 1200 plus labor.
Try eather spray it in the air filter box then try and start if it starts then your not getting enough foule.
