The steering wheel is hard to turn? Check the power steering fluid, something may have busted, such as the line or the pump leaking the fluid. The power steering fluid reservoir should be up to the full mark. Check that with the engine off also. Check all the other fluids while you are at it. Check the engine oil with the engine off and with the car on a level surface, pull the dipstick and make sure it;s within the hatched marks on it.. Check the transmission dipstick with the engine on in park. Check the coolant level in the overflow and the radiator. Don't remove the radiator cap with the engine warm. Make sure the brake fluid level isn't below the minimum level in the reservoir.
If the power steering reservoir is low, refill it and run the engine, looking for leaks.
Sounds like you broke the powersteering hose
