The fuel filter is located just below and to the right of the master brake cylinder. You may need to remove the air cleaner assembly to get to it.

The 2001 Elantra does not have a transmission filter. Previous years had a spin-on filter on the top of the transmission.

My ford territoty blinks oil light at idle speed nd when i increse the reves it goes off...wht could be the problem

How many miles on it? Is it idling at the proper speed? Is it due for an oil and FILTER change?
Could be losing oil pressure. are you running the factory recommended weight of oil?
If you're running 5W-20 then change it to 5W30. If you are running 5W30, then go to 10W40.
In other words, when the oil pump gets worn or the crank and cam beareings develop more clearance with age,you need thicker oil.
If the oil is new and you don't want to change it,add a bottle of regular STP oil treatment. This will increase the viscosity. don-ohio

1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4 transmision slipps between first and secund gear

drop the transmission oil pan and drain it and replace the filter...
If you have over 100,000 miles and have never had a transmission flush before, don't do one now. just do a drain and fill. if that doesn't help, you might need a rebuild.

I have a 2006 sportage kia, I have had the timing belt changed, a tune up done, the transmission fluid flushed, my car has approximately 82, 000 miles on it. I service it ever 3, 000 miles. However, when i...

could be a lead or plug breaking down which are the most obvious when under load ,but please explain why the transmission oil changed ?? i was always taught that auto boxes are for old women and the oil in them never needs changing .I have never seen this on any workshop manuals for the need to change the gearbox oil on a auto.

My car went from 30 miles a galllon to 20 miles a gallon it seems over nite

most likely suspect is the carb

However, I'd start with your basic tune-up first...
  • replace spark plugs
  • replace spark plug wires
  • replace Dist cap and rotor
  • replace fuel filter
  • replace air filter
  • change oil
  • adjust timing and base idle speed
  • adjust fuel mixture (if available)
Cheers

Didn't change the oil for 20K then oil light came

Black some is from too much fuel, blue smoke is from burning oil. Keep an eye on oil consumption now. If your check engine light doesn't come on, just keep an eye on it. 20k miles??? Dude!

How often should I service my Volkswagen Cabriolet 1997

Change oil every 3000 miles. Use 5w-30 weight.I would use syntetic oil base. I found on mine it runs quiter and smoother, better for the car also in the long run Buy it at a local auto part store..do not go crazy on the brands if you will change oil every 3k miles. If you want to go longer get the Mobil-1 syntetic for the 15k miles..but do it yourself..you will save tons. Every 12k miles change the air filter, very easy. Undo the clips , there are four of them and pull out the old and place the new one..five minutes operation ( $12.00) you can do the oil yourself also..10 minutes ( $13 ) . Spark plugs and rotor and distributor cap change every 30k miles, along with the fuel filter. Every 60k , I would change the spark plug wires ( 85 dollars) seems expensive , but you will definetly see a big difference in starting up the car, idle speed and performance as a whole....worth every penny.Timing belt change every 60k miles..do not take a chance on this one...it could be expensive if it breaks...not expensive (30 dollar part) and relatively easy..but have a mechanic or someone you trust. While you are there change the other belt, power steering and alternator belt( i think ) .You do this the car will drive for 200k miles without any problems

Problem with my land rover discovery

its about air filter ,

open your filter air & oil both than clean your air filter than try to change your engine or transmision oils also,

black smoke indicates that your engine can't get more fresh air for serial or parellel combustions,

its easy to solve.

try itwith care.no risk is there
