You PCV will be located on the center, rear engine area. It is just below the intake manifold, between the block and intake manifold. The valve is housed in the vacuum hose that runs halfway into the engine.

Where is pcv valve located on 1989 honda accord lxi

Locate the air box on the top center of the engine towards the back. The PCV valve is located on the rear, underside of the air box. Although on some Accord models, a small air box bracket may be present, which will block view and access to the PCV valve plugged into the intake manifold. If by chance the bracket is there, then remove the retaining nuts, holding it to the air box side with the ratchet and a socket. Reach onto the intake manifold with a pair of needle nose pliers, and gently pull the PCV hose and valve out of the grommet of the intake manifold. Hope this helps!!!

My 1989 Honda Accord is pushing oil out of valve cover into air cleaner. Motor Shot or some kind of intake issue giving pressure where there shouldn't be any? Makes the car run poorly when warm stalls out...

Could be a plugged PCV, or you are having excessive blow-by, oiling getting past the rings and out of the cylinders into the intake. I'd check the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation), shake it, you should hear somewhat of a "rattle" coming out of it. If not it's plugged up and needs replaced. Should be in a 3/8 size hose, or in the valve cover.

Where is the pcv valve located on a 1989 honda accord dx?

379f3ea.gif
It is the silver piece being held by the pliers.

Removal & Installation To remove the valve, disconnect the hose and pull the valve from the grommet. Install the new valve and connect the hose. Attempting to clean the valve is not recommended; always replace it. Install the new valve firmly into the grommet. Connect and secure the hose.
Remove the PCV valve from the valve cover or intake manifold. Remove the hose from the valve. Take note of which end of the valve was in the manifold. This one-way valve must be reinstalled correctly or it will not function properly.

Where is the pcv valve located on a 88 honda accord Lxi, fuel injected? i'm trying to replace it and can't seem to locate.

Follow the large (3/8 in) PCV vacuum hose from the front of the intake manifold plenum (lg silver box with label PGM-FI ). It turns toward the pass. side then down between intake maifold tubes/runners to the PCV valve.

The coolant temperature sensor is located under the hood on the driver's side, upper engine area, and mounted on the rear of the cylinder head. Hope this helped and best wishes.

89 Accord LXI Idle problems

It's fuel infected and it has a vacuum leak, most likely a PCV valve that is stuck open, I've seen a few now. Replace the PCV valve 1st, if that doesn't fix it, start looking for a hose that has come off.
