2005 Colorado crew cab. I took the battery cables off to clean and tighten. After doing this the window on drivers side does not roll down, all other do. The window lock does not work and the door locks do not work auto or manual. I have change door lock fues andit makes no difference int he problem When I open the door the alarm goes off. Any ideas? I did have new tires put on and the front brake pads checked the same day I pull the battery cables.

undo neg. battery cable. touch it to positive post for 30 sec. then leave unhooked for 4 or 5 hrs. should be good after that. just did it myself and it worked.something triggers the bcm to go into safe mode. maybe a weak battery
something puts bcm into safe mode. take neg. battery cable off and touch it to pos. post for 30 sec. leave unconnected for 6 hrs then reconnect. should work after that. just did mine. dealer wanted 400$ to change door switch
any type of power/voltage change seems to trigger this issue
The most common symptom is power locks fail and only the driver window quits, however that is on the extended cab.
Steps to fix and it works every time.
take door panel off driver's door Disconnect the wiring attached to window and power lock control unit disconnect battery cables connect the negative to the positive cable(((NO BATTERY CONNECTED))) This will act to short residual voltage in the system
5 minutes later place the key in the ignition and turn to the run position connect the wiring to the window/lock controller connect the negative cable to the battery then the positive open drivers side door turn key to the off position((do not remove yet)) you should get a series of dings through speakers telling you the key is still in the ignition once it begins dinging pull the key out and you should hear the door lock solenoids trigger and the windows should work.

I believe you need a new switch in drivers door goto a wrecker , new GM ones are $$$$$, happened to me, i just unhooked battery to clear a CEL and had window open at the time ( won't do that again ) and door locks and drivers window won't work ,, checked fuses ,everything good then took door apart and put power to window motor was able to put it up, googled and found lots of people in same boat , hope it works for you ,,,,D
You can try rock window switch Up and Down really fast to see if it moves, also you can pound on the lower interior door panel while holding switch. If it works the first way you have a bad switch or bad connection, If it works the other way you have a bad window motor.
