Remove, check and replace the Oil Pressure Sensor. It should be located adjacent to the Oil Filter.

Check engine light as well as the check gages light and the oil pressure gage has dropped to zero. I can shut of the engine and restart and everything is fine until I give it gas.

No magic bullet fix for the issue you are having. You will need to proceed step-by-step to diagnose the issue. Begin by changing the oil filter and the oil, as simply draining the oil from the oil pan may release whatever debris is clogging the oil pickup.
If your engine ran dry on oil, or if oil stopped circulating, and you tried to run the engine anyway, you may have done permanent damage to the engine, necessitating a complete overhaul. You can judge this by the condition of the oil when you change it.

Oil pressure on my 1996 Dodge Ram pickup is running low even though my oil level is fine

have the oil pressure checked with an independent gage as sometimes gages in the dash don`t show correct pressure. how long has it been since the oil was changed as oil when it gets dirty it thins out and can affect oil pressure. if you don`t hear any ticking with the motor running chances are the pressure is either good or just a little low. testing oil pressure with an independent gage will tell the tale.

The check gages light comes on and off while driving, at the same time, the oil pressure gage drops and then bounces back up after hitting zero

There a couple of possibilities; you could have an intermittent oil pressure switch or an intermittent stepper motor in the instrument cluster. The stepper motor drives the gauge.

The "Check Gages" light comes on all the time now.

The "check gages" light comes on in response to the oil pressure (not oil level) gage dropping too low. Step one is to check to make sure the engine has oil pressure. Use a mechanical gage inserted directly into the engine when the oil pressure sensor screws in. If the pressure is good, you need to check the gage. Your dealer has a tool that attaches to the connector from the pressure switch that gose to the gage. He can then test the gage, cluster and circuit wiring. If that is ok the culprit is the oil pressure sensor itself. I normally don't recommend replacing parts without a proper diagnosis but an oil pressure switch is relatively inexpensive. You might want to try that first. It's relatively common anf if that's the culprit, you will save a bunch of $$$ no having to go to your dealer. If you still have a problem, you have at least eliminated one item and are only out a couple of bucks.

The oil pressure gage goes to zero, the check gaug...

My 2000 Jeep GC laredo had the same problem. I changed the oil pressure sensor (I think that is what it is called) and it now reads really high on my gauge but I havent had any more problems and I dont get that annoying ding when it hits zero anymore when I let off the throttle. In case you dont know, the sensor is located on the passenger side of the engine back towards the fire wall. You just have to disconnect the wiring harness and use a large socket to unscrew the sensor. Once you locate the sensor it should only take 5 minutes to replace. Hope this helps.

92 voyager check gage light

That is the oil pressure gauge not the oil level gauge. Sometimes they can act that way when the oil is thin. When is the last time the oil was changed? Try using a heavier weight oil. When engines wear they require thicker oil. What size engine does you voyager have?

The check gages light constantly comes on. How can I get this issue fixed?

Have either autozone or auto discount...depending on your location, they will check it for free an tell you what the problem is.. they can reset it..however it will continue to come on until the problem is resovled

Oil gage drops to 0

You may have a bad oil pressure sending unit. The kit they are talking about, I believe is a rebuild kit, not the entire pump. Usally the kit consists of a couple rotors and seals. You would take the old parts out the oil pump housing, and install the new ones. But you want to make sure that all the clearances are within specs. I'd try the sending unit first.
