If you had battery unhooked and assuming that it is turning over try this Put your key in turn it on dont start wait 10 mins remove key wait 10 seconds repeat this a total of 3 times. If that dont work try a different key do the same thing. This relearns your key to the ignition it started with Gm cars and trucks from 1999 to to 2006. It is a big problem but there is no recall that I know of. If that dont work a dealer needs to probably replace and reprogram your ignition switch and keys

Why wont my 2002 tahoe start . battery was no good an i replaced it still Won't start

Check battery terminals for corrosion. Is solenoid getting power? Ditto for starter motor. Any fuses - good?

My car wont start, no turn over, all of the electronics work fine. I hear the fuel pump working. What could it be? I parked went in a store, came out and it just wouldn't start.

Possible defective starter motor. Try tapping on starter motor with a blunt object ( if accessible ) while holding the key in the crank position. If the engine starts, the starter motor is bad. If it doesn't, you will have to check for start power at the starter directly. Possible starter motor/starter relay/ wiring/ignition switch etc

Starter problem

Make sure you have spark...I don't know of anything that would cause it not to start from installing a new starter.

2002 Chevy Tahoe. Car wont Start, Starter will keep on trying to start even with key out.

I'd look at the starter solenoid. It also contains the switch contacts that actually connects the battery to the motor. It may be starting to stick.

2002 tahoe back of motor oil leak, already changed rear main

If you have oil running down the side of the block (from above the oil pan) check the lower edge of the valve cover. Those gaskets often fail to seal when the fasteners eventually work themselves loose

Check the fasteners that secure the valve cover to the heads. Torque to 3 ft lbs.

If the leak persists... replace the gasket.

98 tahoe put in rebuilt trans. now no fire to fuel pump wont start blowing fuses

Depending on which fuses are blowing, you may have shorted a wire in the harness to the fuel tank.

My taho wont start. When I go to start it it wont turnover it acts like the theres no starter. Battery is good. it has done this before but tried to start it a couple of time and it started. Do you think...

Find the starter relay in the fuse box under the hood and swap it with another relay of the same type. If the starter works then the relay is no good. Also check any fuse that is labeled Ign. or Bat.
